StephanieStephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her breakout role came in the 2011 Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. She was also seen in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). Sigman was in Narcos (2015) as along with S.W.A.T.(2017) which was the first and second seasons respectively. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of her Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Sigman is an U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] The father of her, professional baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her first professional work was in Mexican television before she made her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played the principal role in Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the film, which is a Mexican crime drama. Six years ago, the Mexican entry in the category of Best Foreign Language Film was selected at the 84th Academy Awards. [7][8] It didn't make it to the final shortlist. 9. Sigman was nominated for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in 2011 for her performance in the film. The next year, she portrayed Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer the film, a Norwegian thriller.
