Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin was born in Wellington but was born and bred in Winnipeg made her acting d but as a character in The Piano. At age 11, she became an infant Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24 the 24th of July, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress playing the edgy and open daughter of Holly Hunter's lead role in The Piano. She was cast as Flora McGrath the daughter of Mute Scottish pianist who, in the middle of the 19th century makes her way to New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an audition open to all when she was just nine years older and had no prior experience in acting. The actress moved in the United States as a teen. Paquin played the child title in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. She also played the title part for the role of the Queen in Fly Away Home, a film released the year. Paquin had a small role in the 1997 television film adapting Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad, she played the queen of Spain as a minor character. She portrayed teenagers for the roles of Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
