Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has been a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than 10 years. Her role also includes being the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England when she was sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. At 21 she became head of the famous debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. Following her graduation, she became an influential right-wing syndicated reporter. In the years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current political scene. Her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna's fame started in 2003, after she was a candidate for an independent for the California recall vote to replace then-Governor Davis. Alongside this, she directed a Detroit initiative to encourage vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes identified her as the top female in the media industry in 2009. The newspaper was ranked as in the 12th spot on Forbes' listing. The Guardian added her to the list of top 100 media in 2009. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and she became president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL properties of the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, an expert in management and a journalist. She was very close with her father, but it was her relationship with her mother who shaped her. In her earliest years she showed leadership abilities that remain highly respected. When she was 16 she moved back to United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college and eventually was its first foreign and female president. She graduated in 1972 with an education in Economics. She became a writer, a critic television host, and a columnist after her graduation. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own novels with his aid.
